DOOLEYS Ceo and Staff visited the local Auburn Hospital with a $54,000 donation put towards specialised medical equipment to assist newborn babies in taking their first breath of life. The Club is honored and proud to support the local community through the ClubsGRANT scheme, which is a commitment to contribute funds to front line services and projects needed to develop local communities.
The donation funded two neonatal resuscitation trolleys to assist newborn babies in taking their first vital breaths of life in difficult circumstances. This equipment will reduce the pressure on doctors and midwives, allowing for them to their undivided attention to both mother and baby during crucial moments.
Auburn Hospital's Director of Midwifery, Kate Murphy, has thanked DOOLEYS for their generous donation and giving the opportunity for mothers to gain access to life-saving equipment.
"Some births can be complicated and difficult for many women. This piece of resuscitation equipment is vital to help tiny babies have a chance of survival", Kate said.
