Auburn Youth Centre

Since 2015, DOOLEYS has provided nearly half a million dollars to Auburn Youth Centre. It is DOOLEYS vision to support local stakeholders such as Auburn Youth Centre in achieving better education and employment outcomes for young people. With the view to make Cumberland and surrounds a vibrant place of opportunity where any young person, irrespective of background, has the opportunity to be supported, learn, belong, work, contribute and most importantly feel safe.

In March 2019, DOOLEYS, in partnership with Auburn Youth Centre launched Auburn Youth Careers (AYCareers), a no cost holistic education and employment pathways program for local young people. The objective of AYCareers is to assist young people in gaining skills and certifications, particularly in the area of hospitality, in order to obtain paid employment.

In addition to financial support, DOOLEYS team members have facilitated three job-ready mentoring and educational workshops since program launch. The facilitated sessions include members from DOOLEYS People and Learning team delivering workshops on topics of interview skills, resumes tips, personal presentation standards, employee rights and responsibilities and employee onboarding.

Max Potential

DOOLEYS supports two Max Potential Programs each year – Cumberland and Parramatta.

Max Potential is a youth leadership and development program, delivered by The Future Leader Group and funded under the ClubGRANTS initiative.

Year 11 students from schools located in both the Cumberland and Parramatta areas are invited to participate each year. DOOLEYS offers scholarships to 50 students who are then matched with a volunteer community coach who works with them over a 22 week period. Through this transformational leadership journey, young adults learn how to lead themselves more effectively and to also give back to the community through a Community Service Pitch.
