Due to recent advice from NSW Health, DOOLEYS will be implementing additional measures at our Lidcombe venue to safeguard against the spread of COVID-19 and to maintain the health and safety of employees, members and guests. These measures are outlined below:
- The John Street Entrance to the Club will be CLOSED. Employees, members and guests are asked to enter and leave the Club via our main entrance on Church Street.
- Employees, members and guests will not be permitted to travel between the Ground Floor and Level 1 of the Club.
For employees rostered to work in the Sports Bar or as a Covid Marshal on Level 1, the following considerations are in place:
- Smoking breaks must be taken on VNH balcony (please be discreet when smoking in uniform) and such breaks must be approved by the Supervisor on duty via phone.
- Meal breaks must be taken on Level 1, either in VNH or in an unused function room and no bundying is required for breaks.
- Employees rostered on Level 1 can put their lunch from home in a function fridge to avoid the need to go downstairs on their break or order from VNH. Alternatively, the food can be ordered from the café (ext 6145) or bistro (ext 6270) via placing the order over the phone and providing your staff number or credit card for payment and the order will be packaged up and sent via the goods lift.
- Mobile phones can be kept on your person to enable them to be checked during break times but employees found to be using their mobile phones whilst on duty will be counselled as per the mobile phone policy.
- Employees rostered on Level 1 can secure their belongings in the locker room but must promptly attend their workstation, please do not loiter or fraternise in the staff areas as this will increase risk of cross-infection, please hand sanitise upon entry and exit of these areas.
For employees rostered to work on the Ground Floor wishing to order their meal from VNH, your order may be placed via phone (ext 6127) and can be collected at Church St reception.
NB: VNH will only accept staff card, they have no credit card facility and cash is not an option so only employees with sufficient meal allowance from Administration or rostered downstairs can order from VNH for the foreseeable future.
These measures will take place from Thursday 6 August, 2020 until further notice.
We remain vigilant with enforcing strict conditions of entry and safety measures across all venues and we keep a keen eye on instructions from the NSW Government, NSW Health and related Public Health Orders.
