WIMR Walk to Save Lives

Westmead Research
20 May 2024

Throughout the month of June members of DOOLEYS staff and board members will be participating in the Westmead Institute of Medical Research (WIMR) Walk to Save Lives initiative.

Did you know that it’s recommended that the average person walks 10,000 steps per day, which equates to around 8kms?

Many of us find ourselves seated for extended periods, whether at desks or behind the wheel. Studies have revealed that this sedentary lifestyle, coupled with dietary habits, can profoundly impact our well-being.

By participating in the WIMR Walk to Save Lives, our goal extends beyond improving our own health; we aspire to contribute to life-saving research initiatives worldwide!

Join us in the WIMR Walk to Save Lives, as we lend our support to crucial medical research endeavours both within Australia and beyond.

Together, let's strive to enhance breakthroughs in the year ahead!
