CEO Development Member Update

dev
03 June 2025

Development works at Lidcombe continue to be a top priority, and keeping our members informed as works progress is front of mind.

Across the development site our team is currently working with Buildcorp on various foundation and structural works. Whilst these aspects may not be the most captivating, they are essential and complex. There is a strong emphasis on safety and future functionality as we advance with our ambitious plans. Getting the foundations right is crucial to ensuring our future operations run seamlessly where members will benefit by receiving the best possible experience once the works are complete.

Key foundation works also include the new loading dock and utility services, which have been thoughtfully designed to provide easy access for delivery trucks and improve operational efficiencies. A new goods lift is also under construction which will significantly enhance our ability to transport materials and equipment throughout the new building. This addition will not only aid in the logistics of our operations but will also support our brand-new function and event spaces more effectively.

The new club extension behind the hoarding line along John St and Board St continues to be a hub of activity. This includes the recent pouring of our concrete slab for the new club extension. These works mark the foundations for exciting new member facilities which include various dining destinations and a brand-new member entertainment lounge.

The live development site across the club does continue to require careful sequencing to maintain club operations and member comfort whilst we simultaneously upgrade the existing infrastructure. Members do continue to respond very positively to the ongoing amendments, and we thank you for your continued patience and loyalty. Whilst we are excited about the progress of our future club at Lidcombe, we understand construction can lead to temporary member inconveniences and we are committed to minimising disruptions and have put measures in place to ensure a smooth experience for all.

We are moving into the next phase of our internal works where members will notice temporary changes to the ground floor in coming months. This will include the introduction of a new temporary entrance along John St and the closure of the existing members lounge space. This is essential for the builders to continue works in this area which once completed will include a brand-new sports lounge. The John St café offering on the ground floor will remain at this time. During this transition period members will be provided with alternative entertainment offerings and additional seating to accommodate as works progress in this area. Members will also witness the introduction of a new lighter café offer on level 1, the Upper Café, which is now operational during peak periods to provide members with the added convenience of not having to travel to the ground floor for a lighter café offering during this transition period.

We recognise some areas at Lidcombe may be temporarily inaccessible, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. Our team is dedicated to providing you with the best experience possible, and we are taking every step to ensure that any disruptions are kept to a minimum.

If you have any questions regarding the ongoing development works at Lidcombe, please contact the club via enquiries@dooleys.com. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we want to ensure that you feel informed and supported during this period of change.

We are genuinely excited about the future of our new club and the positive impact the developments will bring to our members and broader community. We envision a new club that will not only meet but exceeds your expectations.

Please stay tuned for more updates by checking our website at dooleys.com.au regularly, where you will find further insights into our development progress and upcoming works.

Yours Sincerely,

David Mantle
