Lidcombe Expansion FAQs

Development Update
25 March 2024

When does the build commence?

The redevelopment execution and project timeline are critical to ensure members experience a smooth transition. The opening and closure sequencing of destinations is near complete and forecasted to occur over a two-year period commencing in mid-2024. Members will be advised in advance on the impact throughout the property as our development journey unfolds. You will start to witness a burst of activity over coming months with builders onsite.

What area of the club is being developed?

This ambitious project will leave no area of the club untouched and will deliver a brand-new range of expansive food and beverage offerings including new restaurants, bars, and café as well as leading function and event spaces containing a 500-person capacity grand ballroom.

Members will benefit not only from an increased range of food and beverage choices, but a club better equipped to deliver a wide range of activities and entertainment with major refurbishments to the children’s play facilities, bistro, entertainment spaces for live performances and weekly activities as well as upgraded facilities for our intra-club members. Parking will also increase to accommodate the increased volume in patronage.

What new facilities will be introduced?

By mid-2026 the Lidcombe club will have transformed into a vibrant new hospitality destination including a new conference and events centre capable of hosting the most elaborate events, weddings, and celebrations with seating for up to 500 guests. A new Whiskey bar will deliver traditional charm whist a new Sports Bar will create the go to destination in the area for all sporting events. New food offers will include a Yum Cha restaurant, but rest assured your old favourites are going nowhere, with Lloyds Bistro and Vincents Noodle House both benefiting from exciting new revamps. Members will also benefit from a new and improved entertainment lounge, with the space and infrastructure to host a wider range of entertainment.

Who is the appointed builder?

It is with great pleasure and excitement that we announce Buildcorp as the appointed builder for our long-anticipated redevelopment project at Lidcombe. It was a competitive tender process, with our primary focus on appointing a builder who shares our commitment to quality, excellence, and timeliness. We are confident in the appointment of Buildcorp, an award-winning construction company built on strong community values with an emphasis on putting people first. Buildcorp is renowned for excellence in construction with a proven track record of delivering high quality projects over three decades. Our development scope is impressive, and we are thrilled to partner with Buildcorp over the next two years to bring our members the class leading facilities they have long awaited and deserve.
