Seven Years of Bringing Good Together

DOOLEYS and Good360
05 May 2022

In April 2022, DOOLEYS Board Director, Tony Khoury, and DOOLEYS Community Relations Coordinator, Emma Roach, attended the 7th Birthday Celebrations for Good360 Australia. A recent partner of DOOLEYS, Good360 Australia are doing tremendous work in our local community and DOOLEYS are proud to play a small part in their Circle of Good.

In 2015, Alison Covington launched Good360 Australia as she believed that unsold goods could be shared with Australians who needed them the most. Since this time, Good360 Australia has donated over $230 million of goods to not-for-profits and schools in Australia.

Unsold household goods are a relatively unexplored waste issue in Australia. A recent report completed by Deloitte Access Economics revealed that $2.5 billion of new and valuable goods are unsold and wasted every year! Unfortunately, a large portion of these unsold goods often end up in landfill which is an unsustainable and costly practice. There are plenty of Australians that could make use of clothing items, cosmetics and toiletries, with charities across Australia often purchasing and providing these types of household goods to families.

For seven years, Good360 Australia have repurposed these unsold goods to charities in need, reducing waste in the retail industry and assisting incredible charities to reach more Australians. DOOLEYS are proud to provide funding to Good360 Australia, connecting valuable goods to Australians in need.
