As we communicated to our Members last week, all DOOLEYS venues were closed effective immediately on Monday 23 March, as a result of nationwide Government restrictions aimed at reducing the spread of COVID-19. These closures have had further impacts on our Club and I wanted to keep you updated on what’s happening behind the scenes at DOOLEYS.
We are currently unsure of how long the government restrictions will be in place. For this reason, DOOLEYS has needed to enact full closure provisions, along with many other businesses across the country. This has meant we had to make the very difficult decision to stand down all DOOLEYS employees until further notice. This essentially means that while still employed by the business, employees do not have any rostered shifts to fill while we are closed.
This is an extremely difficult time for everyone however please be assured DOOLEYS is committed to ensuring the welfare of all our employees and we are working tirelessly to provide them with all the necessary resources to support them through this difficult period.
We do not currently know how long this situation will remain however we remain committed to reopening our venues as soon as possible and welcoming back all our employees, Members and guests with the high quality service and facilities we have always been so proud of.
As valued Members and loyal supporters of DOOLEYS, I also wanted to advise you of the current situation regarding your membership, reward points and promotions:
- If your membership is due for renewal during the shutdown period, your membership will remain valid until re-opening at which time you will be invited to renew your membership.
- For those members whose birthday month occurs during the shutdown period, you will have the opportunity to redeem your Birthday Points when we re-open.
- If you hold a prize voucher with an expiry date within the shutdown period, we will honour that voucher for the equivalent number of days on re-opening.
- All valid entries in the Win $50,000 promotion and the Thursday Points Promotion issued before 23 March are being held in the promotional barrels. On re-opening, we will provide further detail regarding the reactivation of these promotions.
