What is the New Kids Quarter All About?
The new Kids Quarter at DOOLEYS Lidcombe recently opened its doors on 30 September 2022. It’s a fantastic location for the family to take the kids. DOOLEYS is always focusing on providing a family-friendly and safe environment. If you need somewhere that’s both fun and safe for children, then the Kids Quarter is perfect.
This brand new indoor space is an integral part of our recent and upcoming transformation works. During the planning, it was decided to create a new space indoors that both families, and especially the kids, can enjoy.
The Kids Quarter is divided into two sections. One area is a safe and relaxing place for smaller, younger kids to hang out while the second space is dedicated to a larger climbing play area. In this section, the play equipment has been designed for children aged from 3 - 12 years.
Other important points to note are that there is ample room for things like prams and there is also a parent room for your convenience.
Kids Quarter is not supervised by members of staff, so it’s important that parents keep a watchful eye on their children while they are playing in the Kids Quarter.
Meals At the Kids Quarter
Kids Quarter also comes equipped with tables and chairs. If parents or children get hungry while hanging out in the Kids Quarter, there’s no need to pack up everything and venture off to one of the restaurants. Instead, you can simply order from the famous Lloyd’s Bistro directly from your table with the menu QR Code.
Kids Quarter Birthday Packages!
The Kids Quarter also offers exciting new birthday packages. Packages include party food, a lolly bag for each child, soft drink, choice of plate ware and priority seating in the Kids Quarter. Prices are from $250 for 10 children.* Available seven days a week. *Terms and conditions apply. Additional children are $20 each and additional platters charged at $30 each. DOOLEYS Christmas Giving Tree
The DOOLEYS Christmas Giving Tree is an event the entire family can get involved with and it’s for a very good cause. With so many women and children displaced from Ukraine and now living in Australia due to the recent conflict, DOOLEYS Clubs has decided to team up with the community to give these people some joy this Christmas. Many fled the country with nothing but clothes on their back. Join us in giving something back this festive season.
The Christmas Giving Tree event will be held at DOOLEYS Lidcombe, where gifts can be placed around the tree by accessing the venue through the John Street entrance. You can drop off gifts between 21 November through to 24 December 2022. Everyone, including DOOLEYS Clubs members of staff, are invited and encouraged to participate. Gifts don’t need to be big or expensive. Even the smallest of donations will be appreciated.
When placing a gift around the tree, be sure to include details regarding the gender and age of the intended recipient. This ensures appropriate gifts go to the right people. If you visit DOOLEYS Reception, you can even see a list of requested items.
At the completion of the event, all donated gifts will be sent to the Blue and Yellow Hearts Charity, which is a new charity created in March of this year by Natalka Oleksyn, a passionate Ukrainian member of the community. As a family, be a part of something extra special this festive season by getting involved in the DOOLEYS Christmas Giving Tree event, where kids can learn more about the value and pleasure of giving.
Barefoot Bowls DOOLEYS Regents Park
Both adults and kids alike can enjoy some time outside in the fresh air playing outdoor bowls at DOOLEYS Regents Park. The price is only $10 for adults and $5 for kids, so it’s an affordable activity for the entire family and a great way to bond.
There is nothing you need to bring as all bowls equipment is supplied, so try your hand at lawn bowls, get some exercise and learn some new skills in the process.
Barefoot bowls can be booked any day of the week except on Wednesdays and Saturdays due to bowls tournaments.
